MARITIME SHIPPING
The maritime shipping industry refers to that part of water transport that operates on ocean, as contrasted to inland shipping. The companies are called ocean carriers, also sometimes known as shipping lines.

The major types of ships are as follow
Containerized
Also known as container liner.
Carry as much as 7,000 containers.

Bulk
Bulk cover a wide variety of ships but the thing they have in common is that the ship is like a big bowl into which the cargo is poured, either as liquid like oil or dry like wheat.

Bulk : Dry bulk
The ship deck has large hatches that can be removed and the ship is like a big bowl.
 

Bulk : Roll-on/Roll-off.
Commonly called a roro or car carriers.
Only the cargo clearly cannot be poured.
That can be rolled on or off, such as cars and truck, machinery, and container.

Barges
A large floating bowl or platform that hold cargo, but has no engine.
It is pulled by a tugboat.
